Note: Selecting a Usage metric on the Cost Summary, Cost Trend, Budget Cost Trend Forecast, and Cloud Spend By Dimension widgets requires a Consumed Unit field. In the widget editor, open the Data Binding tab, turn on Override Filters, and set the filter Key to Consumed Unit with the Value set to the desired unit (for example, 1K Token, GB, or 1M). Without a Consumed Unit selected, these widgets show Cost only.

On the Cost Trend widget specifically, once a Consumed Unit is set, the user chooses one of Cost, Usage, or Rate as the Primary metric. The Primary metric renders as the main bar graph, and the remaining two metrics render as secondary line items on the same chart. Changing the Primary selection updates which metric becomes the bar graph and which two become the secondary lines — for example, setting Usage as Primary shows Usage as the bar graph with Cost and Rate as secondary lines; switching Primary to Cost swaps the bar graph to Cost, with Usage and Rate becoming the secondary lines.

On the Cost Summary, Budget Cost Trend Forecast, and Cloud Spend By Dimension widgets, selecting Usage shows Cost and Usage side-by-side in the group-by-None view, adjusts forecast projections to follow the usage trendline, and automatically disables any Group By or drill-down options not yet supported for usage-based data.
