Release Notes 6.2 (2603)
Version 6.1 (2602) of the platform has been released — see full details below.
Summary
CoreStack v6.2 delivers a major step forward in FinOps usability, AI-powered cost optimization, and cost-allocation flexibility. A new guided Dimension Creation Wizard removes the YAML barrier for building cost allocation dimensions, and one-click deep linking across all FinOps+ dashboards makes sharing saved views instant. On the AI front, the new FinOps Rate Optimization Agent moves to production with dedicated Waste Analysis and Portfolio Health dashboards, an expanded FinOps MCP Server exposing AI-callable billing tools, and AWS SKU pricing intelligence spanning 12+ service categories for AI-driven rightsizing. Graphion streamlines custom compliance standard creation and introduces Application-to-Workload mapping that connects SBOM findings to cloud infrastructure, while Platform adds long-requested in-place tenant renaming for MSPs managing customer transitions.
FinOps
- Added Deep Link Support in Executive Dashboard — Generates shareable, stable URLs anchored to specific saved view configurations, so teams can share a saved view in one click across all FinOps+ modules; data renders according to each recipient's RBAC entitlements.
- Added Dimension Creation Wizard (Friendly UI — Phase 1) — Introduces a guided, no-code six-step wizard for building and managing cost allocation dimensions in FinOps+, replacing the YAML-only experience with real-time validation and an optional full YAML editor.
- Added Unallocated Cost Allocation Control — Adds the ability to enable or disable unallocated cost allocation within a dimension, giving teams control over whether ungrouped costs appear across dashboards and reports.
- Changed Budget Forecast Widget — Accumulated Spend Granularity — The Accumulated Spend chart now adjusts its Y-axis granularity to the selected time range: daily for Monthly, weekly for Quarterly, and month-wise for Yearly (with the monthly budget reference retained).
Graphion
- Changed Compliance "My Standard" Creation — Simplified Single-Step Workflow — Consolidates custom compliance standard creation into a single guided step (name, logo, supported providers, and Controls Definition file together) and adds the ability to download an existing standard's Controls Definition file to reuse as a baseline.
- Added Application-to-Workload Mapping — Maps Applications to the CoreStack Workloads that run them across the Application create/edit forms, the Application listing page, and the SBOM cloud-resource mapping workflow, backed by Application-to-Workload edges in the Graph DB that enable vulnerability-to-infrastructure traversal.
AI Agents
- Changed FinOps MCP Server — Phase 2 Enhancements — Expands the MCP server to expose FinOps capabilities as structured, AI-callable tools across three layers, including intent-driven billing tools (top-N cost drivers, month-over-month trends, budget vs. actuals) and a raw billing query escape hatch.
- Added Cloud SKU Pricing for AWS (Master Data) — Captures current AWS SKU pricing for five initial rightsizing-critical services — EC2, RDS, EKS worker nodes, ElastiCache, and Redshift — for the AI Agent framework; available in the Rate Optimizer and Assessment Agents.
- Added AWS Cloud SKU Current & Historical Pricing Expansion — Extends current and historical SKU pricing to seven more AWS services (SageMaker, OpenSearch, EMR, ECS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront), bringing coverage to 12+ categories and enabling deprecated-SKU, trend, and price-change queries.
- Added Rate Optimization Agent — An AI-driven agent for monitoring and acting on cloud commitment spend through natural-language queries, with generated Waste Analysis and Portfolio Health Assessment dashboards covering commitments, utilization, waste, savings, and budget health (AWS, Azure).
Platform
- Added In-Place Tenant Renaming — Account Admins and Tenant Admins can rename a tenant directly from the Tenant Management screen — without deleting, recreating, or re-onboarding cloud accounts — with instant system-wide propagation, a full audit-log trail, and automatic admin notifications.
