Release Notes 6.1 (2602)
Version 6.1 (2602) of the platform has been released — see full details below.
Summary
CoreStack v6.1 expands AI-native cloud governance across FinOps and Graphion, extends Kubernetes cost visibility to Azure with AKS support, and deepens cloud security observability through infrastructure dashboard improvements and resource relationship mapping. MCP integrations now bring CoreStack FinOps data directly into Claude desktop, enabling natural-language cost queries without leaving preferred AI tools. Graphion advances with relationship-aware MCP tooling, enhanced SBOM/IBOM AI analysis, and usability improvements to infrastructure dashboards.
FinOps
- Added Azure Kubernetes (AKS) Cost Ingestion via Prometheus — Ingests cost and utilization data for AKS clusters using a Prometheus-based agent, extending Kubernetes cost visibility to Azure-hosted workloads alongside existing AWS EKS data.
- Added Azure Kubernetes Cost Support in FinOps Dashboards — Surfaces AKS cluster cost data in existing Kubernetes Cost Dashboards with drill-down by namespace, workload, and resource — consistent with the AWS EKS dashboard experience.
- Added OCI Compartment-Level Cost Visibility in Dashboards — FinOps dashboards now support cost breakdowns by OCI Compartment and Compartment Path, aligning OCI cost reporting with the granular views available for AWS and Azure.
- Added Resource Tags in Billing Inventory — Cloud provider resource tags are now displayed as columns in the Billing Inventory resource table, making tag validation available directly in the billing data view.
- Added Webhook, Teams Webhook & Slack Notification Support for Dimension-Level Cost Anomaly — Extends Generic Webhook and Microsoft Teams Webhook support to dimension-level anomaly detection, and introduces Slack as a new notification channel across both account-level and dimension-level anomaly alerts.
- Added Policy Configuration at Account Scope — Governance policy configuration can now be set at the individual cloud account level, allowing account-scope settings to override tenant-level defaults where configured.
- Changed Cost Trend Widget — Hide Variance Display Option — The Cost Trend widget in the FinOps Executive Dashboard now supports an option to hide the variance percentage and display only absolute cost values.
Graphion
- Added Enhancing Graphion MCP with Resource Relationship — Graphion MCP toolset now exposes resource relationship data for core resource types, enabling AI agents to traverse resource relationships and return relationship-aware security insights.
- Added Resource Details View on Infrastructure Dashboards — Infrastructure Dashboards now include a clickable Resource Details panel showing configuration attributes, compliance posture, and risk indicators — accessible directly from the topology view.
- Added Workload Filter on Infrastructure Dashboards — Infrastructure Dashboards now support filtering by Workload, scoping topology, resource lists, and risk indicators to selected workloads.
- Added AppSecOps AI Agent — Improvements to SBOM and IBOM Response Quality — Prompt engineering improvements to SBOM and IBOM AI analysis deliver higher quality, more actionable insights for supply chain and infrastructure risk queries.
- Changed Navigation Menu Consolidation — Graphion — Graphion navigation has been consolidated and restructured to reduce menu depth and improve discoverability of key AppSecOps features.
Platform
- Added AI Agent: CoreStack MCP Integration for Claude Desktop — CoreStack MCP server is now compatible with Claude desktop MCP clients, exposing FinOps tools — cost queries, anomaly data, optimization recommendations, and tagging status — for natural-language querying.
- Added AI Agent: FinOps MCP — Dedicated FinOps MCP server exposing a curated set of FinOps-specific tools through the Model Context Protocol, compatible with any MCP-capable AI client or automation platform.
- Added AKS (Azure) Kubernetes Cluster Onboarding — AKS clusters can now be onboarded through CoreStack's standard K8s onboarding workflow, providing access to AKS cluster cost, inventory, and compliance data.
- Added Import Cloud Account Tags from Hyperscaler — Cloud account-level tags can now be pulled directly from AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI into CoreStack, eliminating manual tag re-entry and keeping CoreStack aligned with each cloud environment's tagging strategy.
- Changed FinOps for SaaS — Landing Page Enhancement — The FinOps for SaaS landing page has been updated with improved layout, clearer onboarding guidance, and better surfacing of available SaaS integrations.
Bug Fixes
Vulnerability Graph Usability Issues Resolved
Description: Multiple usability issues in the Vulnerability Graph — identified during QA testing — caused inconsistent rendering and interaction behavior when analysts navigated and explored vulnerability relationship data.
Resolution: Engineering addressed the reported usability issues. The Vulnerability Graph now renders correctly and interaction behaviors (node selection, graph traversal) work consistently across typical use cases. Security analysts can rely on the graph view for vulnerability relationship analysis without encountering the previously reported rendering inconsistencies.
