Usually, developers/testers have to put in a request with the helpdesk when they need a new VM for their development or testing purposes. The process involves a lot of hassles owing to the inevitable corporate red tape, numerous permissions and approvals.
CoreStack’s Self-Service portal enables users such as developers to quickly configure the required VM, request and receive manager approval seamlessly.
There are three main user roles configured in CoreStack.
- Admin – The admin is responsible to set up the self-service portal. They also monitor and manage the system using CoreStack’s unified dashboard.
- Developer – Developers are the individuals raising provision requests for VMs and/or Apps.
- Manager – The superiors who approve /modify or reject provision requests initiated by developers.
